This is a blog about a very exciting theatre production that was written, directed and produced by women living in Port Vila, Vanuatu in the Spring of 2010. Here we will publish information about our production and hopefully encourage interest for future artistic endeavors in Vila and elsewhere in the realms of creative writing, women’s activism and exposure for minority voices. About colombocalling
I am a theater play born out of a cocktail of cultures and influences. My full name is "Colombo Calling. A Play from Sri Lanka". My natural mother is Cristina Bejan. But I am born each time i am being performed on open stage. I have 12 godfathers ans godmothers who are trying to make me look at my best each time they carry me into their arms.
My story is long and exciting. From Sri Lanka. I hope you will all enjoy it!
